Barracuda Message Archiver Panel Indicators, Ports, and Connectors

This article refers to Barracuda Message Archiver firmware firmware version 5.0 or higher.

As of January 1, 2026, the BMA 150 model is End-of-Sales. Support for hardware and software-related issues will continue for BMA 150 customers. Customers with an active Instant Replacement (IR) subscription will automatically receive the upgraded BMA350 model and will not experience any disruption in service. If you are currently covered by IR, no further action is needed.

Power Supply/Internal Fan

Power supply and internal fan issue indicators:

  • Continuously on and red – An overheat condition has occurred; this may be caused by cable congestion.

  • Blinking red (1Hz) – Fan failure, check for an inoperative fan.

  • Blinking red (0.25Hz) – Power failure; check for non-operational power supply.

  • Solid blue – Local UID has been activated; use this function to locate the server in a rack-mount environment.

  • Blining blue (300 mSEC) – Remote UID is on; initiate this function from a remote location to identify the appliance.

Network Activity (2)

Blinks green to indicate network activity.

Disk Light

Displays a solid orange light and blinks during disk activity.

Power Light

Displays a solid green light when the system is powered on.
