Adding or Deleting SNMP OIDs

Adding or Deleting SNMP OIDs

Theย Network Objectsย tab provides a list of all SNMP OIDs that are available for monitoring. Additional SNMP OIDs can be added here, or any that are not in use can be removed.

There are two types of MIBs: scalar and tabular. Scalar objects define a single object instance whereas tabular objects define multiple related object instances grouped in MIB tables. You can choose to collect tabular OIDs.ย

You can create a tabular monitor for a known base OID, and Barracuda RMM automatically creates monitors for all elements within that table.

Onsite Manager pulls a maximum 1,024 scalar monitors from each tabular monitor definition.

You have two options for removing SNMP OIDs from the Service Center database:

If you have a single SNMP OID that you want to remove, you can identify it and delete it manually. See To remove an SNMP OID from the Service Center database manually below.

If you want to remove multiple SNMP OIDs at the same time, or suspect there is at least one SNMP OID that is unused, but donโ€™t know for certain, you can let Service Center find and remove all unused SNMP OIDs. See To remove all unused SNMP OIDs from the Service Center database below.
