How to Verify Safe Search Enforcement Events in DNS Logs

You can view and verify Safe Search enforcement events in DNS logs.

Viewing Safe Search Enforcement Events in DNS Logs

To have DNS logs indicate when Safe Search has been enforced:

  1. Go to https://se.barracudanetworks.com and log in with your existing Barracuda Cloud Control account.

  2. The chosen Tenant/Workspace is displayed in the top menu bar.

  3. From the drop-down menu, select the workspace you want to verify Safe Search enforcement in DNS logs for. 

  4. Go to Reports > Logs and select DNS Logs.

  5. To edit the columns of the DNS Logs table, click Edit Columns

  6. The Table Columns window opens. In the General section, select the field name Disposition and click Apply.

  7. In the Disposition field, add a filter by clicking the funnel-shaped filter icon and selecting Enforce SafeSearch from the drop-down menu .

  8. Click Apply.

  9. You can see the label Enforce SafeSearch displayed under the Disposition field. The label Modified is displayed under the Action field.
