How to Configure a Microsoft Entra ID Connection
This article refers to Barracuda Message Archiver firmware release version 5.5.3 or higher, and Microsoft Entra ID. For more information on how to update to the latest firmware, see Updating Your Firmware and Definitions.
Requirements
You must have a Microsoft 365 account with administrator privileges.
An Application Id and secret from Microsoft 365. See How to Create an Application ID and Application Secret for Barracuda Message Archiver for Entra ID.
Your Tenant Name and Primary domain name from Microsoft 365. See How to Find Your Tenant and Primary Domain.
Add a New Entra ID Connection
Log in to the Barracuda Message Archiver as the admin, and go to USERS > Directory Services.
For Type, select Entra. Click Add New.
Enter a Server Name, App Id, Secret Key, O365 Domain Name, and Tenant Name.

For more information on where to find your O365 Domain Name and Tenant Name, see How to Find Your Tenant and Primary Domain.
Click Save.
Go to USERS > AD User Add/Update.
For Service, select Entra. For AD User/Group, start typing the first 3 letters of the username and wait for it to auto-populate.
Select the desired user and Role.
Click Save.
The user can now log into the Barracuda Message Archiver.
How to Find your Tenant and Primary Domain
Log in to Microsoft Entra as a global admin Microsoft Entra admin center.
On the left-hand menu, select Overview and copy down the Tenant ID and Primary domain.
The Name and Primary domain you copied down can now be used to authorize the Barracuda Message Archiver permissions to connect to Microsoft Entra ID.
