Scanning a Device using Microsoft Defender
Scan Now is available for devices that:
are WMI-enabled,
are up,
have Microsoft Defender enabled, and
have a Microsoft Defender policy applied to them.
In Service Center, click Status > Devices.
Click the name of a device that has a Microsoft Defender policy applied.
In the right navigation menu, click Microsoft Defender AV.
Click Scan Now.
When the scan begins, a status message is displayed at the top of the page. Click the X to close this message.
