Enabling Windows Remote Management Settings

  1. In the Group Policy Management console, right-click the policy object you want to edit, then click Edit.

  2. In the Group Policy Management Editor console, navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates: Policy definitions (ADMX files) retrieved from the local machine > Windows Components > Windows Remote Management (WinRM) > WinRM Service.

  3. Click Allow remote server management through WinRM.

  4. Click the policy setting link.

  5. Select Enabled.

  6. In the IPv4 filter field, type *.

  7. Click OK.

  8. Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates: Policy definitions (ADMX files) retrieved from the local machine > Windows Components > Windows Remote Management (WinRM) > WinRM Client.

  9. Click Trusted Hosts, then click the policy setting link.

  10. Select Enabled.

  11. In the TrustedHostsLists field, type *.

  12. Click OK.
