Renewing the Client Secret

If you did not copy or lost the Client Secret when initially adding the API credentials, you must renew it.

Renewing the API credentials invalidates the API credentials currently in use by other platforms.

When renewing the API credentials, the Client ID remains the same, and a new Client Secret is generated and displayed (you can copy it until the page is refreshed). For more information see Adding API Credentials.

 

To renew the Client Secret, perform the following steps.

  1. At the API Credentials page, select the account you want to renew then click the Renew button.


    The following confirmation message is displayed.

  2. Click the Confirm button.
    The same Client ID is displayed, and a new Client Secret is generated and displayed.

  3. Click the Copy button and paste the new Client ID and Client Secret in Notepad or other file for your future use.
