How to Access the Passive Unit of the Site Appliances

In certain cases, you might have to access the passive site appliance of your high availability cluster. You can do so by using the Local Web UI.

• The client from where you want to access the site appliance must be in the same LAN network as the appliance. 

1. Enter https://<ip_of_appliance>. 

2. Enter root as username and the password of the appliance and click SIGN IN.

3. Go to ADVANCED > Options.

   Open

   

4. Click Options.

5. Click SWITCH TO PASSIVE PARTNER.

   Open

   

6. Confirm by clicking OK.

   Open

   

7. You are automatically redirected to the passive appliance.

8. An attention box informs you that you are logged in on the passive appliance. 

   Open

   

1. To return to the active appliance, click SWITCH BACK TO ACTIVE PARTNER in any menu.

   Open

   

2. Confirm by clicking OK.

   Open

   

3. You are automatically redirected to the active appliance.
