Workspaces

Create workspaces to allow administrators to manage configuration units independent from each other. For example, you can create a Testing workspace and an Engineering workspace where different security and SD-WAN policies are applied. 

For this reason, Sites and Edge Services (Gateways) cannot be moved between workspaces.

For each individual workspace, you can configure the following:

  • Virtual WAN

  • Edge Services (Gateways)

  • Private Cloud Edge

  • Sites

  • Users

  • Custom apps

  • SD-WAN policies

  • Security policies

  • Audit Log

In addition, the following workspace settings are configured for each workspace separately:

  • Firmware Update Windows

  • Forwarded Domains

  • Log Analytics

A workspace can be connected to only 1 virtual WAN in Microsoft Azure.

Create a New Workspace

  1. Go to https://se.barracudanetworks.com and log in with your existing Barracuda Cloud Control account.

  2. The chosen Tenant/Workspace is displayed in the top menu bar.

  3. Click the expandable drop-down menu.

  4. All existing Tenants/Workspaces are displayed. The following options are available:

    • You can either search for the name of your workspace to tailor the list of displayed workspaces, or you can simply scroll through the list.

    • You can add, delete, and modify tenants and workspaces and even switch between them.

  5. Click + Add Workspace to add a new workspace.

  6. In the New Workspace window, specify values for the following:

    • Workspace Name – Enter a name for the new workspace.

  7. Click Save.

Edit an Existing Workspace

  1. The chosen Tenant/Workspace is displayed in the top menu bar.

  2. Click the expandable drop-down menu.

  3. From the drop-down menu, select the workspace you want to edit.

  4. Click the pencil icon next to the workspace you wish to edit. For example, Production.

  5. In the Edit Workspace window, customize the values for Workspace Name.

  6. Click Save.

Delete an Existing Workspace

You can only delete workspaces when no Sites or Edge Services (Gateways) are associated with it.

  1. The chosen Tenant/Workspace is displayed in the top menu bar.

  2. Click the expandable drop-down menu.

  3. From the drop-down menu, select the workspace you want to delete. For example, Testing.

  4. Click on the trash can icon next to the workspace entry.

  5. The Delete Workspace page opens.

  6. Click Delete.

The Delete Workspace page displays a warning message. Please note that this action is irreversible.

Switch between Workspaces

  1. The chosen Tenant/Workspace is displayed in the top menu bar.

  2. Click the expandable drop-down menu.

  3. From the drop-down menu, select the workspace you want to switch to.
