Adding Files and Folders to Exclusions

Adding Files and Folders to Exclusions

To reduce false positives in the future, you can add files and folders to exclusions.

Add files and folders to exclusions only if you know they aren't malicious.

If you decide the threat may be malicious later, you can also remove the threat from the exclusions.

To add a file or folder to exclusions
  1. In Barracuda XDR Dashboard, click Endpoint Security > Exclusions.

  2. Click Create Exclusion .

  3. Select an OS.

  4. Enter the path to the file or folder.

  5. Select one of the following:

    • File

    • Folder

  6. Optionally, if you selected Folder in the step above, select Include subfolders.

  7. Optionally, type a Description.
NOTE If you leave Description empty, the field is filled automatically.

  8. Optionally, select This is an exclusion for a group, then select the group to apply the exclusion to.

  9. Do one of the following:

    • Click Save and Add another, then follow steps 3-9 until you've added all your exclusions.
