What’s new in April

Features and Enhancements:

  • Barracuda Assistant - Barracuda AI Assistant is a chat-based tool integrated with Barracuda WAF-as-a-Service. It provides responses based on the WAF-as-a-Service Campus documentation. Users can start a new chat to ask questions, review their previous conversation history, delete specific chats, or delete all conversations.

  • SSO Login Enhancement - Barracuda WAF-as-a-Service authentication has been integrated with Barracuda Cloud Control single sign-on (SSO). This enhancement standardizes identity management across all internal applications and leverages secure, scalable session and token-based SSO protocols to ensure consistent and centralized access control.

What’s new in January

Feature:

  • API Dashboard - Barracuda WAF-as-a-Service now provides a centralized hub that helps to monitor, protect, and optimize your API traffic. The dashboard displays real-time metrics, including request counts, latency, error rates, and throughput. It also stores historical data so you can track trends and identify unusual activity over time.

What’s new in December

Feature:

  • Automatic Certificate Management Environment (ACME) support has been added to enable automatic SSL/TLS certificate renewal from the following Certificate Authorities (CAs):

    • Let’s Encrypt (default)

    • Sectigo

    • ZeroSSL

    • Google Trust Services

What’s new in October

Enhancements:

  • Extended Match now includes support for IP ranges and CIDR notation.

  • This feature is available only for applications deployed in custom containers.
    Barracuda WAF-as-a-Service now integrates with AWS Secrets Manager for certificate management. Certificates formatted with a newline character (/n) at the end of each line are supported.

What's new in September

Enhancements:

  • Enhanced Endpoint Discovery: Endpoints containing multiple dynamic path segments are now identified to increase visibility and enable more effective security profiling.

  • Configuration backups are now accessible through the Barracuda WAF-as-a-Service web interface. Direct access to Barracuda's GitHub repository has been depreciated and is no longer available.
