Overview of Email Protection Plans

Barracuda Email Protection is a set of cloud services designed to protect your organization against email threats.

Prevent threats – Prevent attacks from getting through by combining email-gateway defenses, API-based inbox defense, and web security.
Detect and respond – Identify and limit the impact of any threats that reach your users with automated response and security awareness training.
Secure data and ensure compliance – Ensure compliance and stay productive during downtime. Back up your important Microsoft 365 email and data to recover easily from malware attacks or lost data.

Barracuda Email Protection is available in six plans. There are three Integrated Email Protection Plans:

Integrated Email Protection

Includes

Impersonation and account takeover protection powered by Barracuda IQ
- Reporting and enforcement modes to monitor before enforcing
- Microsoft quarantine visibility to view, release, or delete from the Barracuda console
- Automatic post-delivery remediation as new threats are discovered
- AI-powered threat explainability with natural-language analysis
Incident response to investigate and remediate reported threats
Domain fraud protection with DMARC reporting and analysis
Value reporting in BarracudaONE for visibility into protection effectiveness and threat origins
Barracuda XDR (Extended Detection and Response) available for new Integrated Email Protection customers
- XDR Email Security AI backed by experts, protecting against gateway threats, phishing, and account takeovers
- XDR Cloud Security (Microsoft and Google integrations only) gathers and analyzes data across company resources including endpoints, networks and cloud infrastructure and automatically responds to threats

Includes everything in Integrated Email Protection and

Data protection for Microsoft 365 and Entra ID with fast point-in-time recovery with Cloud-to-Cloud Backup
Data classification with Data Inspector

Integrated Email Protection Premium Plus

Cloud archiving Service to ensure compliance and fast e-discovery
Security awareness training, including phishing simulation for users (not available for MSPs)

XDR (Extended Detection and Response)

In addition to the below protections, new Integrated Email Protection customers will enjoy XDR, a cloud-native cybersecurity platform that monitors, detects, and automatically responds to cyberthreats across your entire IT environment. It replaces multiple scattered security tools with a unified, 24/7 managed service.

Integrated Email Protection (IEP) customers are protected by XDR Email Security. XDR Cloud Security is applied to Microsoft and Google integrations only.

Automated & Expert Response: Powered by AI for automated threat mitigation and backed by a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) to address active breaches.
