About Physical Imaging Standard Restoring via Bare Metal Recovery

Bare Metal Recovery (BMR) allows you to restore a physical image to either a similar or a dissimilar physical machine.

You can create the Recovery Media as a USB thumb drive or create the Recovery Media as an .ISO file.

The following tasks are performed using BMR:

1. Downloading the BMR Media Creator.

2. Downloading and installing Microsoft ADK is required to create the pre-installation media required to perform a bare metal recovery.

3. Running recovery media creator generates the Recovery Media restore.

4. Running the Recovery Media restore.
