Deleting an Account (Computer, Client, or Subpartner)

This article provides the following procedures:

  • Deleting Customer Accounts

  • Deleting a Computer from the Management Dashboard

  • Deleting a Computer from the Account Page

  • Deleting Subpartner Accounts

Note: When you delete an account, all data associated with that account is deleted as well, however, the backup software installed on the machine belonging to that account is retained. That data must be uninstalled manually.

Deleting Customer Accounts

To delete a customer account, perform the following steps.

  1. At the ECHOplatform ribbon, click Manage.
    The Management Dashboard is displayed.

  2. Click beside the account name (not directly on the name) you want to delete.
    The account row is highlighted in blue and the Delete button is displayed in the upper-right.

  3. Click the Delete button.
    The following pop-up is displayed.

  4. Select the Cancel the account and delete all its data and information check box.
    The Yes button is enabled.

  5. Select the Yes button.
    The account is deleted.

Deleting a Computer from the Management Dashboard

To delete a computer from the Management Dashboard, perform the following steps.

  1. At the Management Dashboard, select and expand the account with the computer to be deleted.

    The computers are displayed.

  2. Click beside the computer name (not directly on the name) you want to delete.

    The computer row is highlighted in blue and the Delete button is displayed in the upper-right.

  3. Click the Delete button.
    The Delete confirmation pop-up is displayed.

  4. Click the Delete button.
    The computer is deleted.
    Note: If the computer is the only computer listed for the account, then the following message is displayed.

  5. Click Yes, to cancel the account and delete the computer.
    The following message is displayed.

  6. Select Cancel the partner and delete all its data and information check box and then click the enabled Yes button.
    The account is deleted.

Deleting a Computer from the Account Page

To delete a computer from the Account Page, perform the following steps.

  1. At the Manage Account page, select the Computers tab and click beside the computer name (not directly on the name) you want to delete.

  2. Click the Delete button.
    The Delete confirmation pop-up is displayed.

  3. Click the Delete button.
    The computer is deleted.
    Note: If the computer is the only computer listed for the account, then the following message is displayed.

  4. Click Yes, to cancel the account and delete the computer.
    The following message is displayed.

  5. Select Cancel the partner and delete all its data and information check box and then click the enabled Yes button.
    The account is deleted.

Deleting Subpartner Accounts

To delete a subpartner account, perform the following steps.

  1. At the ECHOplatform ribbon, click Manage.
    The Management Dashboard is displayed.

  2. Select the subpartner you want to delete by clicking next to the name (not on the name) to highlight the subpartner row and click the Delete button.
    The Cancel Partner button is displayed.

  3. Select the Cancel the account and delete all its data and information check box.
    The Yes button is enabled.

  4. Select the Yes button.
    The subpartner account is deleted.
