AI Tools Inventory

The AI Tools Inventory subpage lists all known AI applications detected on your network. You can filter, search, and sort the list. The Allow or Block status can be changed inline via drop-down menus or in bulk using row selection checkboxes.

Open AI Tools Inventory

  1. Go to Barracuda SecureEdge and log in with your existing Barracuda Cloud Control account.

  2. The chosen Tenant/Workspace is displayed in the top menu bar.

  3. From the drop-down menu, select the workspace you want to access AI tools inventory for.

  4. In the left menu, click the AI Security icon and select AI tools inventory.

  5. The AI tools inventory window opens. The Recommended actions page displays the following: Shadow AI, High risk AI, AI tool usage graphs, and AI tools.

AI Tools
  • In the AI tools section, you can see a list of all known AI applications detected on your network.

  • The columns are categorized as follows:

Sort by last used ascending/descending order.

AI

Name of the AI application.

Category

Displays AI category .

Risk Score

Numeric risk score. Editable by administrators.

Usage

Activity within the selected time period.

Status

Whether the application is Allowed, Blocked, or Unreviewed.

  • An application's status is determined as follows:

    • Allowed – Explicitly permitted in an AI Security Web Filter rule.

    • Blocked – The application or its category is explicitly blocked in an AI Security rule.

    • Unreviewed – Neither the application nor its category appears in any AI Security rule.

  • You can filter, search, and sort the list. The Allow or Block status can be changed inline via drop-down menus or in bulk using row selection checkboxes.

Application Detail
  • Click an application row to open its detail view. E.g., Adobe Express.

    • The Adobe Express window opens, displaying the following:

      • The application's total risk score, with a link to the full breakdown.

      • A list of individual risk factors contributing to the score.

      • Up to the three safest alternatives in the same category with lower risk scores.

      • The Risk Score sidebar displays a detailed breakdown of risk factors, explains how the risk score is calculated for this application, and allows administrators to edit the score.

        • In the top-right corner of the Risk Score section, click 6/25 to open a sidebar with a full breakdown of risk factors and an option to edit and save the score.

          Note that a recommendation to block the application is shown only when the score exceeds 15 (high risk).

          • Calculation formula: AIR (AI risk score) = TEM (Threat exploitability multiplier) * BIS (Base impact score)

            • TEM * BIS calculates the final AI risk score. Adjust the calculation if you disagree and click Save.AIR = TEM * BIS

Risk scores indicate the potential risk of each AI application. A score above 15 is classified as high risk. Administrators can edit any application's risk score; edited scores override previous ones. A Block recommendation appears only when the score exceeds 15 (high risk).
