How to Trigger Failover for a Site Appliance (HA) in SecureEdge Manager
You can trigger a failover from SecureEdge Manager. In some cases, you may need to manually trigger a failover so the passive appliance becomes active.
Trigger a Failover
Go to https://se.barracudanetworks.com and log in with your existing Barracuda Cloud Control account.
Select the workspace containing your Site.
In the left menu, click the Infrastructure icon, and select Sites.
The Sites page opens. Select the Site that is configure as a High Availability cluster from the list of Sites, and click the arrow icon next to the Site you want to configure.
The Site menu opens. The Site <Name of Selected Site> window opens.
In the left menu, click Settings.
In the Basic Information tab, you can verify the following:
The currently active Site is indicated more prominently with “(active)” next to its serial number.
You can view the status and serial numbers of both Site appliances.
Click Trigger Failover.
The Trigger HA Failover window opens.
Click Confirm.
Clicking Trigger Failover initiates an HA failover and switches the active Site appliance to the standby peer. This action may temporarily interrupt SecureEdge service.
