Zero Touch in SecureEdge

Zero Touch in SecureEdge

Zero Touch Deployment (ZTD) in SecureEdge allows organizations to deploy appliances remotely with minimal or no on-site setup. When powered and connected to the Internet, a device authenticates to the Zero Touch Deployment service, downloads its configuration and certificates, applies security policies, and reports as an active Site appliance. The appliance applies the configuration automatically on first boot. This removes manual setup, reduces errors, speeds rollouts, and ensures consistent security across distributed sites (branches, home offices, retail outlets).

Zero Touch key features
  • View and monitor all physical and virtual appliances on a single inventory page.

  • Sort and filter appliance data to locate specific devices quickly.

  • Claim new appliances using a serial number and linking code.

  • Delete, ignore, or sync appliances as needed.

  • Manage deployment configurations, including viewing and deleting entries.

  • Configure appliance settings and authentication tokens for deployment.

  • Use advanced sync operations, such as Full Sync and Partial Sync, enabled by feature flags.

  • Export appliance data to CSV for reporting and analysis.

  • Automatically refresh appliance data to keep inventory current.

  • The Zero Touch Settings page in SecureEdge Manager lets you configure appliance and authentication settings.

In SecureEdge, the Zero Touch Deployment (ZTD) interface includes the following pages:

  • Inventory – Displays SecureEdge physical and virtual appliances.
