Initiating a Remote Control Session Using VNC, Telnet, or PuTTY

Before first connecting to a device, you must install the Barracuda RMM Remote Control Client. Seeย Before Initiating a Remote Control Session Using Remote Desktop, VNC, Telnet or PuTTy.
Telnet is no longer installed by default on newer Windows operating systems. Clients must ensure that the Telnet client is installed by following the instructions in their operating system's help.
In Service Center, clickย Statusย >ย Devices.
Locate the device to which you want to initiate a remote control session.
Click the device name and then clickย Remote Controlย from the right sidebar.
If anย Internet Explorerย dialog box appears, warning you that the page is accessing information that is not under its control, clickย Yes.
In theย Remoteย Servicesย section, from theย Serviceย list, select VNC, Telnet, or PuTTY.
Confirm theย Remote Machine IP addressย is correct.
Confirm theย Remote Machine Portย is correct.
This port is used between Onsite Manager and the device. Communications between Onsite Manager and Service Center occur over HTTP or HTTPS.If required, in theย Local Application Pathย box, type the path to the client software, or if available, clickย Browseย (...) to locate the client executable.
Modern browser security settings may prevent you from using theย Browseย button to capture the file path of the client software. In Internet Explorer, you must either add Service Center to the trusted sites list or set the security setting forย Include Local Directory Path When Uploading Files to a Serverย to enabled.ย Theย Applicationย Parametersย box is populated with the information needed to establish the session.
If required, in theย Applicationย Parametersย box, type additional arguments to adjust the functionality.
Clickย Connect.
If a prompt appears warning that a program is executing, clickย OKย to continue.
