Initiating a Remote Control Session Using Remote Desktop
Remote Desktop must be enabled on the target device. See Microsoft Help and Support.
Before first connecting to a device, you must install the Barracuda RMM Remote Control Client. Seeย Before Initiating a Remote Control Session Using Remote Desktop, VNC, Telnet or PuTTy.
In Service Center, clickย Statusย >ย Devices.
Locate the device to which you want to initiate a remote control session.
Click the device name and then clickย Remote Controlย from the right sidebar.
If anย Internet Explorerย dialog box appears, warning you that the page is accessing information that is not under its control, clickย Yes.
In theย Remoteย Servicesย section, from theย Serviceย list, selectย Remote Desktop.
Confirm theย Remote Machine IP addressย is correct.
Confirm theย Remote Machine Portย is correct.
This port is used between Onsite Manager and the device. Communications between Onsite Manager and Service Center occur over HTTP or HTTPS.To redirect local drives from the tech device to the remote device, which allows for easier file transfers between the tech device and the remote device, select theย Redirect Local Drivesย check box.
To connect to console, and log into the server as if you were sitting directly in front of it rather than creating a brand new session, select theย Connect to Consoleย check box.
Clickย Connect.
If a prompt appears warning that a program is executing, clickย OKย to continue.
