About the Software Page
The Software page is where you can specify computer-specific settings that determine how the backup agent on the local computer behaves. To specify settings for multiple computers, see Templates.
The Software page allows you to do the following:
Set bandwidth throttling limits.
Upload warning and error logs for online viewing.
Bandwidth Throttling allows you to throttle the bandwidth to keep the network throughput of the software at a level which does not interfere with a client's network. You can choose which days and times the bandwidth throttles and what level it throttles to (in kb/s).
If you want throttling to apply all week, set the day range to Sunday through Saturday (not Sunday through Sunday or Saturday through Saturday) and if you want throttling to apply all the time, set the time range for 12:00am through 11:59pm (not 12:00am through 12:00am).
Bandwidth throttling only applies to uploads to or downloads from Barracuda's servers. Uploads to and downloads from a NAS device or other local network location register as local transfers and are not throttled.
Upload Logs - If this option is selected, the logs from backup, restore, and delete jobs are automatically uploaded after the job finishes. This helps when viewing the logs from the management portal.
