Scenario 2 - How to Request and Manage an Existing Customer Account

Use this scenario when the customer already has a Barracuda Cloud Control (BCC) account. You will send a management request to the customer's existing admin, who must accept before you can manage their account.

Step 1. Send the Management Request

  1. In BCC, click Partner > Customer Accounts, then click Manage Customer Accounts.

  2. The Manage Customer Accounts page displays.

  3. Click Add Customer in the left pane. The Add Customer Account dialog displays.

  4. Enter the customer details and click Check for Availability.

  5. A message displays confirming that the admin account exists.

  6. Click Request to Manage. An email is sent to the customer admin email address you entered.

  7. Click Close.

Step 2. Customer Accepts the Request

The customer must complete the following steps to accept the request:

  1. The customer receives an email with a link and instructions for accepting the invitation.

  2. After accepting, the customer logs in, clicks Settings, and goes to the Admin > Users page. A notification displays.

  3. The customer clicks the notification. Pending Reseller Requests display.

  4. The customer clicks Accept. A Success message displays.

  5. The customer clicks Close. The Barracuda Partners on Account section now displays on the Users page.

Step 3. Set Admin Entitlements

After the customer accepts, set up entitlements for the account:

  1. In BCC, click Partner > Customer Accounts, then click Manage Customer Accounts.

  2. The Manage Customer Accounts page displays.

  3. Click on the customer account name, and click Add Administrator. The Add Administrator dialog displays a list of partner administrators not already on the customer account.

  4. Click on the newly added account, select the Partner Admin's Entitlements, and then click Add.

  5. The partner is added to the Partner Admins on Customer Account list in the right pane.
