Requesting features for Barracuda applications with Bailey

Requesting features for Barracuda applications with Bailey

You can submit product feature requests directly through Bailey. Your feature requests are collected and the Product Management team, reviews, prioritizes, and tracks them if they are added to the product roadmap. Other users can view and vote on the potential new feature, and you can do the same to other new feature requests.

You can submit feature requests for all Barracuda products.

Requesting a new feature is not a guarantee that Barracuda Networks will add the feature. See the bottom of this article for additional legal information.

Requests that include the following are automatically rejected:

  • Harmful content

  • Malicious code or scripts

  • Inappropriate language

  • Spam

Requesting new features

Requirements/Best Practices

Your feature request description must be at least 15 characters long. Bailey prompts you for more detail if your initial description is too short.

You can create up to 10 ideas per hour.

Best Practices

Include as much information as possible about:

  • What you want to accomplish

  • Why this feature would be useful

  • How you would use it

The more detail you provide, the better the Product Management team can understand and prioritize your request.

When submitting feature requests or comments:

  • Don't include sensitive business information

  • Don't include proprietary data or trade secrets

  • Don't include customer names or identifying information

  • Don't include security vulnerabilities or exploits

If you need to share sensitive information about a feature request, contact your Customer Success Manager or Support team directly.

You can submit a feature request when Bailey determines that a feature you're asking about isn't currently available in the product.

Usually, you request a new feature if you ask Bailey how to do something and Bailey responds that the feature isn’t available. From there, Bailey helps you through the process of creating a trackable feature request.

The process for requesting a new feature is the following:

  1. Ask Bailey to create a new feature request.

  2. Bailey generates a clear title and description based on your request.

  3. Your submission enters a review queue. It isn't visible to other users until it is reviewed.

  4. The Product Management team reviews and approves or rejects your request.

  5. Other users vote and comment on your request.

To request a new feature

  1. In Bailey, ask about a feature you'd like to see. For example, "I want to add a custom MCP server to Bailey. I want to use Confluence and make sure Bailey knows about my Confluence docs."
Bailey checks if the feature is available.

  2. If the feature isn't available, Bailey offers to help you submit a feature request.
Bailey also checks for similar existing requests.

  3. If no existing requests match your needs, create a new feature request.

  4. Review the suggested title and description Bailey generates based on your input.

  5. Specify which product your feature request applies to (for example, Bailey, XDR, Email Security).

After you submit, you receive a confirmation message.

If your feature request is rejected

If Bailey rejects your feature request:

  • Ensure your description is at least 15 characters long.

  • Provide more specific details about what you want and why.

  • Avoid generic requests; be as detailed as possible.
